Patch Anti Freeze Heart Gold Us

Dido - Safe Trip Home

5 years.

expectations 5 years before the beautiful Dido finally sort this brilliant successor to his "Life For Rent".

The single "Do not Believe in Love" do not pack a little flat, very far from the unstoppable melody of "White Flag". Hopefully much better for the album.

After a first listen, one returns empty-handed almost a hunting tube, the melody simply and effectively, a brief chase to his previous album. Lack of inspiration or mature and gain finnesse? The question arises, and to get to the bottom, we listen.

again.

And yet.

And we perceive some rare gems, beautiful and enchanting as this "Let's Do The Things We Normally Do", a clear reference to his deceased father and probably the most successful title of the album. Or this "Quiet Times" that haunts us in a strangely familiar, that "The Day Before The Day" that sounds Simon and Garfunkel or the last epic "Graphton Street "which takes time to unfold.

We see good things, the arrangements are always treated Rollo, Dido's voice has remained the same and if the mood is deeper and more sullen, she takes still the heart.

is discovered for the first time pieces of tasteless Dido and exchange does one song made where "Us Two Little Gods," "Never Want To Say It's Love," "Burning Love "or" Northern Sky. "Yes, flat four titles, uninspired where Dido's voice and the instruments of his brother no longer sufficient to hide a severe lack of melodies.

So we ask questions, and it faces a difficult and sad truth above board, this album is very pale and our favorite English seems to have lost what was the strength of his pen.

Obviously you listen all the same loop in the background because it's still nice to hear, but it was not really the heart trembles when listening to this Safe Trip Home.

The bonus track "For One Day" is tasteless, where the "Summer", the second song to fetch the next Simon and you know who is fairly successful, although "we've heard that somewhere."

Safe Trip Home, a good album, but very far from the level which we were accustomed Dido.

Dido - Safe Trip Home: 6 / 10
