Draft Of Welcome Letter To Doctor

Gogol Bordello at Bikini (Toulouse)

This is my first visit to the new bikini, and nothing to say, the hall throws.
Arrive at 20:40, Superamazoo is full service. Lille group gives us a highly engineered music (bass and drum parts are sampled, not played), relatively poor melodies, well established, some fans who like drum and bass by moving the head.

It is a little sad them, they move around, whoop it up but nothing happens, the public wants Gogol Bordello (pronounced Gogal brothel). At 21h the group leaves the stage (30 minute set so) and we rejoice, we expected much longer.

spend 45 minutes, the room fills up gradually. The lights go out, only one projector is pointed at the scene, Eugene arrives, guitar in hand, and began a song that will join the other group members.

The atmosphere is electric, it waits for the click. Here it is: Of SuperTheory Supereverything, second song of the set, marks the beginning of what will be one hour happiness, between romping, passion for music and performing arts. The Gogol raged, the tubes too, one is impressed by the effect of "Wonderlust King" or "American Wedding". These guys know how to dance crowds, and we want more.

sensational After an hour, you look exhausted, go away. Then one notices that the lights of the room does not come on again. And that the public wants more. So we hope, is recovered his breath, remembering that "Start Wearing Purple" was not played ...

O joy, the musicians come from New York, lining a single note on which Eugene dalida began singing, surreal, and the Pink Floyd, 'We do not need no education', before launching, "Start Wearing Purple" and the apocalyptic mess again. The crowd was conquered, in a daze, we see the band enchainer his best riffs and we give ourselves fully, thinking that every song is the last. Half an hour rab, the group does not care about the mouth of his audience.

Then, suddenly, the band stops, the magic wears off, it looks forward to the rest is history ... Eugene says that the French are reputed to be the worst audience in the world, the most cruel, the hardest to conquer, and that it is Italian (campeones del mundo) who told him ... The public does not know how to react, it smells of mouth foutage transalpiens of our friends, but the message is not very clear ...

few seconds of incomprehension pass ...

And sounds the melody of "Mala Vida"!
Damn, these guys are right, it's just madness in the public one last surge of adrenaline and musical mess, before the fateful goodbye.

10 minutes thanks to their audience, these guys cherish their audience, and this makes them the property.

It appears, sweaty, breathless, stars in their eyes, they were there, and frankly, they're good.

few regrets, however, the non-presence of 'Not A Crime' or 'Ultimate' on the setlist, the absence of one of two dancers and thus their synchronized dances and hypnotic crazy. Finally, we regret the two big balls that were before us at the beginning of the concert, incredible immobility, fortunately, we managed to quickly emerge, and we spent an unforgettable concert.

Thanks to bikini (the sound was just perfect), and thank you to those guys from New York who have energy to spare. Breathtaking.

How To Replace Info.plist On Mac?

Looking Rough At 30 with Jarvis Cocker With Tidusyl

continue our pilgrimage English by visiting the Academy concert hall that has seen him pass on his boards as well as Amy Winehouse Nirvana.

Small history lesson: 1975, Geoff Travis from the USA to look for records, returning to London, he launched his own music store becomes a label under the name Rough Trade in 1978. To date the label collects artists such as The Smiths, The Libertines, The Strokes and Arcade Fire.

Only because it's rare, let's say that music, after the catalog of the label, is pretty much spend waiting. And then, take the time to talk to Jeffrey Lewis, who by his musical presentation of the label with an old recording and delivery, deserves our applause.

Arcade Fire sounds, the lights go out ... And it is through that screen-projo J. Cocker (not Joe) starts talking to the crowd while walking alone as it is doing, or may Iggy the Iguana be in its heyday.

From that moment, everything degenerates. Still no Pulp but frankly, we have more chance to deflower the Pope to hear Common People again.

Jarvis connects the first EP, new songs from the second. Although some feel the deja vu, it feels weird to hear Bowie sing, the show gives us the English is so unique and the energy it transmits is so crazy (and I really weigh my words) , that is not bored at all and especially you wanting more.

The public is calm for once, completely captivated by this madman, which is still singing on "I Will Kill Again" and react to the antics of the Jesus lookalike

Wayfarer ... What is good with Jarvis is the unexpected ... Because redo his shoelaces while on stage then giving in improvisation on his shoes "that he loves, or distribute the chocolate advent calendar: it like it or not but I say hats off (and I'm happy with my rhyme).

Cocker gratifies us with two encores including Running the World and Do not Let Him Waste Your Time. And it is with "Mind the Road on projo that man is bowing out.

Thirty years of music, ups and downs ...
With his new EP, 2009 will be especially Jarvisienne Strokiste (word to the wise): Rough Trade So we can smile and we wish him a Happy Birthday ...
